Privacy Policy — Beauty by Indy

What we collect

When you book an appointment, sign up for the newsletter, or send an inquiry through the contact form, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, phone number (when given), event date, and any context you share about your appointment. When you complete a shop purchase, the payment processor handles your card information directly — we do not see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

To schedule and confirm your appointment
To send booking confirmations, reminders, and post-appointment follow-ups
To respond to inquiries you submit through the contact form
To process retail purchases
To send occasional newsletters about new services or LaLa Design drops — only if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary information with the platforms that make the studio run: Wix (booking + storefront), the retail payment processor, Google Workspace (email), and our analytics provider. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We don't share booking details with anyone outside the studio.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies for session management (so booking flows work across pages) and lightweight analytics (so we know which services people view, in aggregate). We don't use third-party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — booking flows will still work but may require you to re-enter information.

How long we keep it

Booking and purchase records are kept for the duration required by Minnesota tax + business law (currently seven years). Inquiry-form submissions are kept for two years and then deleted. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, after which the record is deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the information we have on file, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete your records (other than what we're legally required to retain). Email beautybyindyy@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

Beauty by Indy services are for clients 13 years and older (with parental consent for clients under 18). The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Updates to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes that affect existing clients (for example, a new analytics provider) will also be announced by email.
